We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Safety Officer to join our team in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and health of all employees within our heavy industry and metallurgy operations. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards, implementing safety protocols, and fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborate with management to develop and review safety performance metrics and objectives.
• Prepare and maintain accurate safety documentation, including reports, records, and safety manuals.
• Promote a culture of safety by engaging employees in safety initiatives and encouraging their participation in safety committees.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Assist in the preparation of safety budgets and resource allocation for safety-related initiatives.
• Act as a liaison with external regulatory bodies and safety consultants as needed.

Preferred Candidate:

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer in a heavy industry or metallurgy environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to industrial operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
• Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports for management review.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (*, NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct training sessions and workshops effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• A commitment to fostering a positive safety culture within the organization.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic is an advantage.
