Specialist Infrastructure & Systems Administration

About the Role

ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Al-Jubail is seeking a Specialist, Infrastructure & Systems Administration to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern region. This full-time role involves the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's server and systems infrastructure across both on-premises data centers and cloud environments. The Specialist ensures the availability, security, reliability, and performance of critical IT systems, providing advanced technical support and serving as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.

Key Responsibilities

The Specialist will play a key role in operating system management, system monitoring, patch and vulnerability management, automation initiatives, capacity planning, backup and recovery operations, and the continuous improvement and modernization of enterprise infrastructure services. Specific responsibilities include:

• Design, deploy, and maintain server and systems infrastructure in alignment with operational and business requirements.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot server hardware, operating systems, and software components.
• Implement and manage virtualization technologies (*, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware) to maximize resource utilization and efficiency.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize server and system performance to ensure high availability and consistent service delivery.
• Perform capacity planning and proactively identify potential performance bottlenecks.
• Implement and maintain security controls to safeguard infrastructure against threats, applying necessary security updates and patches.
• Design, implement, and manage backup solutions, ensuring critical data and systems are protected.
• Develop, maintain, and regularly test disaster recovery (DR) plans to ensure business continuity.
• Support and participate in internal and external audits, providing evidence and remediation actions for compliance.
• Conduct regular system audits and security assessments to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Adhere to IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and best practices (*, ITIL) for incident, problem, and service request management.
• Follow change management procedures for all infrastructure modifications.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute infrastructure projects and modernization initiatives.
• Provide advanced technical support for server-related issues, serving as an escalation point for complex problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective IT solutions.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating existing systems and recommending enhancements.
• Remain available on-call to address emergencies, ensuring 24/7 support coverage for critical systems.
• Provide regular reports on server performance, capacity utilization, and security posture.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for server configurations and operational procedures.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess relevant experience in infrastructure and systems administration.

• 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
