Join our dynamic team as an IT Support Technician at Saudi Company For Hardware - SACO!

As a leading company in the home improvement retail sector, SACO is looking for a dedicated IT Technician to provide first-level technical support in our retail stores across Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of retail technology systems, resolving incidents, and supporting our staff effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide L1 technical support for retail systems including POS, payment devices, and end-user devices.
Manage incidents and service requests using our ITSM ticketing system.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to store IT systems and escalate complex problems as needed.
Support daily operations of POS terminals and troubleshoot transactions and connectivity issues.
Assist with the maintenance and setup of store IT infrastructure.
Document troubleshooting steps and maintain knowledge base articles.
Collaborate with store teams to resolve IT-related challenges.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in retail environments.
Technical knowledge of POS systems and retail tech.
Familiarity with ITSM ticketing systems.
Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Retail POS systems like Retail Pro or Oracle Retail.
Understanding of ERP integrations (SAP or similar).
Knowledge of ITIL service management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain technical devices: Install and maintain computers, printers, and peripheral devices, ensuring they are ready for operation.
Network and communication management: Monitor the internal network, ensure stable connectivity between branches and departments, and troubleshoot any technical faults.
User support: Provide direct technical support to employees, assisting them in resolving software and hardware issues.
Software installation and updates: Install essential software and regularly update it to prevent vulnerabilities and ensure optimal performance.
Information security assurance: Implement security policies, perform backups, and protect systems from viruses and intrusions.
Documentation: Prepare technical reports, document faults and solutions, and create internal user guides.
Participate in technology projects: Assist in planning and executing new technological initiatives or infrastructure development.
Coordinate with suppliers: Liaise with technical service providers or external support companies to resolve issues or purchase equipment.
Continuously stay updated: Keep abreast of the latest technological developments and apply the most suitable ones to enhance the work environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the same field.
Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
Experience in network management (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Good communication abilities and technical support skills.
