About the Role

KPMG is seeking an Associate Director to join its Regulatory and Risk Advisory (RRA) team in Riyadh. The RRA team provides a comprehensive suite of treasury advisory services to corporate clients, focusing on transformation programs, treasury strategy, policy development, operating models, cash and liquidity management, hedging strategies, and treasury systems selection and implementation.

Role Overview

As an Associate Director, you will assume a key leadership position responsible for defining strategy, guiding client transformation initiatives, and ensuring successful project execution. This role involves leading client engagements, managing multidisciplinary teams, and overseeing the delivery of significant programs, while also fostering innovation and cultivating strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the strategic development and growth of the corporate treasury practice, including capability enhancement, solution innovation, and revenue expansion.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to CFOs and Group Treasurers, influencing investment decisions and shaping enterprise-wide treasury transformation agendas.
• Contribute to and own revenue generation, leading pursuits, shaping proposals, and converting opportunities into client engagements.
• Lead go-to-market initiatives, develop market propositions, and contribute to thought leadership to enhance the firm's market presence in corporate treasury.
• Anticipate emerging trends, regulatory developments, and market innovations to shape the corporate treasury agenda, translating these into strategic insights and differentiated client solutions.
• Lead and manage complex client engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery, effective risk management, and alignment with strategic business objectives.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a dynamic leader with deep technical expertise in corporate treasury and proven leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of shaping strategy, managing treasury transformation projects, and leading teams to achieve significant impact.

Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive experience of 10+ years in corporate treasury or advisory roles within a leading financial institution or consulting firm.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance or Accounting is required.
• Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, or CFA are preferred.
• Aptitude for quantitative analysis and strong numerical skills, with evidence of advanced financial modeling capabilities.
• Experience with analytical and treasury systems such as Kyriba, FIS, SAP HANA, GTreasury, or ION.
• Fluent English proficiency; knowledge of Arabic or another regional language is advantageous.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Comprehensive understanding of corporate treasury, including key concepts for In-House Banks, Payment Factories, POBO/COBO, cash pooling, liquidity forecasting, FX processes, and bank connectivity.
• Proven track record in leading treasury transformation projects, ideally encompassing Target Operating Model (TOM) design, cash management, In-House Banking, payment factory implementation, liquidity forecasting, banking strategy, or Treasury Management System (TMS) implementation.
• Good technical knowledge of treasury systems and prior experience in systems selection and implementation (*, KYRIBA, FIS, SAP Hana, GTreasury).
• Prior experience in financial modeling and financial risk management.
• Detailed knowledge of treasury product pricing and accounting treatments.
• Demonstrated resilience and ability to lead teams and deliver results in complex, high-pressure environments.
• Strong ability to map client business requirements and translate them into viable business propositions.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in business development, including RFP responses and client relationship management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with client-facing experience.
• Demonstrated integrity, values, principles, and work ethic, leading by example.
