About the Category Manager Role

Pharma Medical is seeking a Category Manager for the Wellness & Supplement division to oversee and drive the strategic growth of this product category. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and requires a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Category Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the wellness and supplement category. This includes developing and executing the category strategy, managing key relationships with suppliers and buyers, and overseeing all aspects of product lifecycle management. The role also involves ensuring effective inventory control and conducting thorough performance analysis to inform future strategies.

• Develop and execute the overall category strategy.
• Manage and nurture relationships with suppliers and buyers.
• Oversee product selection, pricing strategies, and promotional offers.
• Ensure efficient and effective inventory management practices.
• Conduct regular performance analysis for the category.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, e-commerce, and regulatory affairs teams.
• Achieve defined sales and profit objectives for the category.
• Ensure full compliance with SFDA requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. While not mandatory, a licensed pharmacist is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in category management or buying within the pharmacy, healthcare, or retail sectors is required. Experience specifically with dietary supplements, vitamins, health products, or over-the-counter (OTC) medications is essential.

Key Skills and Competencies

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities. Proficiency in pricing, managing profit and loss (P&L), and inventory management is crucial. The ability to analyze data, plan effectively, and forecast demand is also a key requirement. Excellent communication and coordination skills are necessary for cross-functional collaboration. Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.
