Director, District Cooling at Qiddiya

Qiddiya is seeking a Director - District Cooling to lead the development and management of advanced district cooling systems. This full-time role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is central to ensuring the effective design, implementation, and operation of sustainable cooling solutions within Qiddiya.

Role Purpose

The Director will play a pivotal role in enhancing the living and recreational experience at Qiddiya through robust and environmentally responsible cooling infrastructure. This position requires leadership in driving operational excellence and upholding environmental responsibility across all district cooling initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning and execution of district cooling projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and sustainability standards.
• Manage the design and engineering processes for district cooling systems, collaborating with internal teams and external consultants.
• Oversee all operational aspects of district cooling, ensuring systems are efficient, reliable, and optimally maintained.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for potential district cooling projects and innovations.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and environmental legislation throughout project implementation.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, community representatives, and service providers.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports on project developments, budget performance, and operational metrics to senior management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals within the district cooling department, promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
• Stay informed about technological advancements and best practices in district cooling and energy management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 10-15 years of experience in district cooling, HVAC system management, or related engineering fields.
• Strong project management experience with a proven track record of delivering large-scale engineering projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of energy efficiency principles, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills and Competencies

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management and design software relevant to cooling systems.
