About the Medical Sales Specialist Role

Baraya Extended Care is seeking a results-driven Medical Sales Specialist to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on increasing patient volume and revenue for Baraya's specialized outpatient rehabilitation clinics. The role involves building and maintaining a consistent referral pipeline from private clinics, hospital outpatient departments, orthopedic centers, and corporate wellness programs, ensuring Baraya is the preferred provider for physicians requiring intensive physical therapy, occupational therapy, and advanced rehabilitation care.

Driving Outpatient Referrals and Volume Growth

The primary responsibility is to generate daily and weekly referrals for specialized outpatient services, including orthopedic post-operative care, neurological rehabilitation, pediatric therapy, and sports injuries. This involves systematically identifying and engaging key referrers such as orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, rheumatologists, and physical medicine specialists. A key objective is to ensure the optimal utilization of advanced clinic technologies, such as robotic rehabilitation and spinal decompression systems, by strategically routing patient volume.

Territory Management and Market Engagement

This role requires effective management of a designated geographic territory, involving frequent daily visits to private clinics, polyclinics, and hospital outpatient departments. The specialist will promote targeted corporate outpatient packages, private pay options, and customized health sector bundles to local organizations and executive networks. Organizing and delivering clinical 'in-service' presentations, demonstrations, and educational sessions within clinics is crucial for highlighting Baraya's unique clinical capabilities.

Navigating Insurance and Patient Pathways

A comprehensive understanding of private insurance networks, Council of Health Insurance (CHI) regulations, medical approval processes, and insurance coverage classes in Saudi Arabia is essential. The specialist will provide clear guidance to referring physicians on patient access pathways and act as a liaison between referring physicians, patients, and Baraya's internal teams to facilitate prompt appointment scheduling and minimize conversion drop-offs.

Market Analysis and Data Management

Proactive monitoring of outpatient market pricing, competitor offerings, and emerging rehabilitation trends within the private healthcare sector is required. Accurate and real-time tracking of activities and pipeline data within the CRM system is mandatory, with clear segmentation of accounts into active, fading, or high-potential categories.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related clinical/scientific field. A background in Physical Therapy is considered a significant advantage for facilitating peer-to-peer clinical discussions. The role requires 2 to 5 years of proven medical sales experience within Saudi Arabia, ideally with a track record in representing private polyclinics, specialized diagnostic centers, outpatient services, or high-turnover pharmaceutical products. Native Arabic fluency and professional-level English proficiency are strictly required. Familiarity with Council of Health Insurance (CHI) guidelines and major private insurance policies is also necessary.
