About the Payroll Specialist Role

Sahat Almajd Trading Company is seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist to join their team in Riyadh. This on-site position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including the collection and verification of employee time records.
  • Calculate wages accurately.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll runs.
  • Maintain and update payroll data and employee records.
  • Administer benefits and deductions.
  • Liaise with HR and finance departments regarding workforce changes and necessary approvals.
  • Address and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal company policies.
  • Prepare comprehensive payroll reports.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to the improvement of payroll processes for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated strong payroll administration skills, including managing employee records and full payroll cycle processing.
  • Proficiency in handling payroll taxes and statutory deductions, ensuring accurate calculation, reporting, and compliance.
  • Experience with garnishments and other complex payroll deductions, with the ability to apply them correctly and confidentially.
  • Familiarity with payroll services and systems, including the use of payroll software for calculations, reports, and reconciliations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude, with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • A solid understanding of local labor laws and regulations pertinent to payroll in Riyadh/Saudi Arabia.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other productivity tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with HR, finance, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with integrity.
  • A relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional payroll certification is considered an advantage.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Riyadh. The role involves close collaboration with HR and finance departments.
