About MASQ World and the Role

MASQ World is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to maintaining the company's financial integrity, focusing on general ledger management, account reconciliation, and comprehensive financial reporting. The position operates within a manufacturing environment, requiring expertise in cost accounting and ensuring strict compliance with Saudi Arabia GAAP and MASQ internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Produce accurate accounting reports and present their results to management.
• Analyze financial information and summarize the overall financial status of the company.
• Identify errors and suggest methods to improve accounting efficiency and spending.
• Review and recommend modifications to existing accounting systems and procedures.
• Participate in financial standards setting and contribute to the forecasting process.
• Provide input into the department’s goal-setting process.
• Prepare financial statements and produce budgets according to established schedules.
• Assist with tax audits and the preparation of tax returns, including VAT and payroll knowledge.
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Plan, assign, and review the work of accounting staff.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Liaise with the Chief Accountant and Accounting Manager to improve financial procedures, requirements, and skills.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial experience in a multinational environment, with at least 2 years in a similar senior accounting role.
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, including cost accounting.
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
• Proven experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience and strong general understanding of ERP systems, specifically Dynamics or Business Central 365.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Demonstrated knowledge of VAT and payroll processes.
