About the Role

TalentHive is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support major Thermal Power Plant projects in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and Jeddah. The role involves overseeing electrical engineering design activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring technical compliance and successful project execution from detailed engineering through commissioning and close-out. The offered salary package is SAR 22,000 per month, inclusive of basic salary and fixed allowances.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate electrical engineering designs and technical deliverables.
• Evaluate EPC contractor engineering submissions and detailed design packages.
• Validate Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), schematic drawings, load lists, design calculations, studies, and equipment layouts.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal engineering disciplines.
• Review vendor documentation, procurement packages, and supplier technical submissions.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and review associated procedures and reports.
• Review construction methodologies, installation procedures, commissioning documentation, reliability testing, and performance testing activities.
• Support design change management, technical risk assessments, HAZOP reviews, and engineering compliance activities.
• Review IFC, AFC, AFI, and as-built documentation.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project execution and close-out phases.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience specifically within large Thermal Power Plant projects.
• Demonstrated experience in reviewing EPC contractor engineering and design submissions.
• Experience spanning design, engineering review, construction, commissioning, and testing phases.
• A strong understanding of international electrical engineering standards.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration.
• Experience with Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP).

Candidate Profile Focus

We are particularly interested in candidates with direct experience in:

• Thermal Power Generation.
• Combined Cycle Power Plants.
• EPC Contractors.

Candidates whose experience is solely in building services, infrastructure, transmission & distribution, renewable energy, or industrial electrical fields without direct Thermal Power Plant project experience will not be considered for this role.
