About the Role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience to manage complex building projects and ensure client objectives are met.

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager will serve as the primary day-to-day client interface, responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, while adhering to appropriate quality, sustainability, and safety standards. This role involves managing the end-to-end project delivery lifecycle, from design and procurement through to construction and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage governance, communication, and control systems for project delivery.
  • Review organizational structures and recommend alignment measures.
  • Monitor team performance and implement improvement measures.
  • Audit compliance with management systems and report findings.
  • Identify project risks and manage mitigation strategies.
  • Initiate and conduct technical and progress meetings.
  • Manage client stage gateway reviews and conditions precedent.
  • Oversee the attainment of design stage deliverables and concurrent work package procurements.
  • Attend sites to review HSSE, logistics, and progress.
  • Produce formal reports on project progress against baseline and KPIs.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc progress reports and presentations.
  • Manage relevant contracts to protect client interests.
  • Administer timely issuance of company invoices and receipts.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential: Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Essential: Buildings sector experience.
  • Essential: Minimum 10 years of Project Management experience.
  • Desirable: Recognised Project Management Qualification.
  • Desirable: Membership or chartership of a recognised professional industry body (*, RICS).

Required Attributes

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both pre-contract and post-contract delivery, with excellent management and interpersonal skills. A robust technical skillset, understanding of construction, and commercial and contractual awareness are essential. Strong relationship management abilities are required to liaise effectively with clients, sub-contractors, and stakeholders. The candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
