About the Role

DETASAD is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on maintaining, optimizing, and delivering IT infrastructure and cloud services, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft environments. The ideal candidate will ensure operational stability and contribute to strategic IT initiatives.

Role Purpose

The Senior System Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring business continuity by responding swiftly to critical issues and minimizing downtime. This position is also responsible for delivering high-quality IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and system integrations, contributing directly to the company's technological advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to critical IT issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous business operations.
• Lead and deliver IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and system integrations on schedule and to high standards.
• Perform daily operational tasks related to Microsoft products, virtualization platforms, security systems, and database management.
• Provide leadership and coverage for Windows Servers, SQL environments, Security Gateways, and various service projects.
• Mentor mid-level engineers to enhance team capabilities and ensure long-term sustainability.
• Handle escalated customer incidents, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.

Required Technical Expertise

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (AAD), including ADFS, AADConnect, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and LDAP integrations.
• Deploy, migrate, upgrade, and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server, covering high availability (DAG) configurations, Cumulative Update (CU) upgrades, mailbox management, mail signature setups, and Outlook profile troubleshooting (POP & Exchange).
• Implement and administer Microsoft Office 365 / Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and related collaboration solutions.
• Manage and optimize Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and the implementation of new services and functionalities.
• Administer and optimize Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
• Manage Security Mail Gateways and Certificate Authority (CA) servers, ensuring proper monitoring, incident response, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) management.
• Administer, migrate, and tune Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Write, understand, and execute PowerShell scripts for Exchange and other system automation tasks.
• Provide support for multiple operating systems and ensure compatibility for application installations.
• Lead operational and technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

This role requires proven project delivery skills across infrastructure, cloud migrations, and system integrations.
