Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, in partnership with Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SIIG), operates through its wholly owned affiliate Arabian Chevron Phillips Petrochemical Company (ACP). This collaboration has established two 50/50 joint venture projects in the industrial city of Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Chevron Phillips Company (SCP) and Jubail Chevron Phillips Company (JCP). A third joint venture, Saudi Polymers Company (SPCo), is jointly owned by ACP and National Petrochemical Company (Petrochem). The Opportunity: Analyst Corporate Accounting

We are seeking a dedicated Full-time Analyst Corporate Accounting to join our team in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting. The Analyst will be responsible for performing monthly close duties in strict accordance with company and international accounting standards, contributing to the robust financial operations of our joint ventures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all required journal entries for monthly General Ledger (GL) closing, including complex accruals, monthly benefit adjustments, and treasury-related entries.
• Post journal entries in SAP following thorough checking and verification of request forms and supporting documents.
• Manage the classification, reclassification, calculation, processing, and reconciliation of payroll, benefits, regulatory, and administrative expenses. This includes monthly End-of-Service (EOS) provisions, HOP transactions, bonuses, Saving & Fitness plans, medical charges, GOSI, and full payroll processing for distribution partners and secondment staff (CPC).
• Calculate, reconcile, and process VAT & IFRS16, involving contract review and interest calculations.
• Process dividend payments, Purchase Order (PO) & Non-PO transactions from distribution partners, amortization, and commissions.
• Prepare monthly accounts analysis and reconciliations in accordance with established policies and procedures, ensuring the overall accuracy of the organization’s general ledger.
• Support the annual budget process for G&A/SD Cost Centers.
• Prepare for annual SOX audits and ensure the reporting and internal auditing system is updated.
• Perform month-end close processes accurately and timely, maintaining proper financial records.
• Prepare assigned balance sheet reconciliations and analyses, ensuring accounts are reconciled and justifications are properly documented.
• Contribute to continuous improvement processes within the assigned area.
• Undertake accountabilities in the operational excellence process as outlined in the schedule of responsibilities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting or a similar financial role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and international accounting standards.
• Proficiency in financial record keeping, reporting, and reconciliation processes, including experience with ERP systems like SAP for journal entry posting.
