About the Project and Role

Tecnimont, in collaboration with Tecnimont Arabia Limited, has been awarded two lump-sum turn-key EPC contracts for a significant petrochemical expansion project at the SATORP Refinery in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This refinery is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Total Energies. The project, valued at approximately USD 2 billion, involves the execution of two key packages: the "Derivatives Units" and the "High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) & Logistic Area". The overall project scope includes complete engineering services, equipment and material supply, construction activities, pre-commissioning, and commissioning, with an estimated duration of four years. We are seeking a Construction Mechanical Machinery Supervisor to join our team for this contract position in Jubail, Eastern Province.

Role Overview

The Construction Mechanical Machinery Supervisor reports directly to the Construction Manager. This role is responsible for directing Subcontractor activities within their assigned discipline. The Supervisor ensures that all Plant Construction works are executed in strict adherence to erection schedules, Project documents, and within the allocated cost budget. Compliance with Quality and Safety procedures, as well as the specific terms and conditions of the subcontract, is paramount. The Supervisor may be supported by one or more assistants.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify the Supplier’s material and technical documentation delivery schedule against Construction schedules and contractual commitments prior to work commencement.
• Control and approve Subcontractor Method Statements before works begin, ensuring their correct application on site.
• Ensure the implementation of all HSE procedures and standards within the assigned areas or activities involving subcontractors.
• Participate directly in site HSE activities as defined in the Site HSE plan and related procedures, monitoring schedule adherence and promoting actions to recover any delays.
• Assess the adequacy of equipment and manpower employed by Subcontractors and confirm that works conform to design documents, Safety regulations, and specified Quality levels.
• Perform necessary inspections and sign certificates in accordance with Site Inspection Plans.
• Prepare the non-conformity register for each Subcontractor and coordinate the resolution of nonconformities.
• Identify any design errors, rectify them where possible, or request necessary changes from the Site Engineer.
• Review and approve Subcontractors’ work progress status sheets.
• Manage vendor specialists on site.
• Assist the Contract Manager/Engineer in defining new prices, preparing amendments to subcontracts, and analyzing and discussing claims.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in construction mechanical machinery supervision, preferably within large-scale EPC petrochemical projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractor activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, schedules, and safety standards.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, quality control, and HSE procedures.
