About the Role

Chevron Phillips Chemical Company is seeking an Engineer Production to join their team in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing technical support for process control and automation to optimize plant operations and ensure compliance with EHS system requirements. The Engineer Production will monitor key plant parameters and manage minor unit changes.

Company Overview

Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC, in partnership with Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SIIG) through Arabian Chevron Phillips Petrochemical Company (ACP), operates two 50/50 joint ventures in Al-Jubail: Saudi Chevron Phillips Company (SCP) and Jubail Chevron Phillips Company (JCP). A third joint venture, Saudi Polymers Company (SPCo), is jointly owned by ACP and National Petrochemical Company (Petrochem).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and process expertise to achieve established targets and objectives, improving process capability, efficiency, yield, and quality within the production budget.
• Identify debottlenecks and profit opportunities in coordination with licensing and technical support groups.
• Manage chemicals, catalysts, and additives, including creating annual consumption projections, updating BOMs, tracking consumption trends, and outlining delivery schedules to maintain minimum inventories.
• Support projects during plant commissioning and turnaround activities.
• Support troubleshooting activities resulting from changes in process operations or new production plant projects.
• Recommend changes and improvements to Standard Operating Procedures and work methods for specific production areas and/or processes.
• Lead the Management of Change (MOC) process for unit changes and support other disciplines in executing MOCs related to the unit.
• Prepare operating and capital expense budgets, providing support for capital projects as a liaison between plant project engineering and operations.
• Monitor costs and cost allocations monthly to ensure compliance with budgeted projections.
• Coordinate with Turnaround (T/A) planning to assist in developing shutdown and startup activities related to operational tasks to support T/A objectives.
• Determine product specifications in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to meet customer requirements and standards. Respond to customer complaints, providing detailed responses regarding root cause and corrective action, and inputting information into CFS.
• Participate in HAZOP/LOPA reviews.
• Adhere strictly to established environmental, health, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
• Undertake accountabilities in the operational excellence process as outlined in the schedule of responsibilities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement processes for the assigned area.
• Perform other relevant tasks as directed by the Manager Operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience is required for this position.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia, within the operational framework of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company's joint venture projects.
