Abdullah A. Barrak & Sons Co. is seeking a Lead Piping Engineer to join our team in Al Jubail. This full-time position is critical for driving technical excellence in piping engineering across our projects within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors.

Role Overview

The Lead Piping Engineer will be responsible for leading and overseeing all piping engineering activities. This role requires a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry, ensuring compliance with international standards and successful project execution from initial design through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee piping engineering activities for Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects.
• Review and approve piping design deliverables, including specifications, drawings, and technical documents.
• Manage piping engineering teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ensure compliance with international standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, and relevant project specifications.
• Review piping layouts, P&IDs, isometrics, material specifications, and stress analysis reports.
• Provide technical support during engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, structural, and construction teams to resolve technical issues.
• Review vendor documents, technical submissions, and engineering calculations.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality, safety, schedule, and cost requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and technical meetings with clients and contractors.

Qualifications and Experience

• A strong background in Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive experience of 10+ years in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead piping engineering activities and manage project teams.

Technical Expertise

The successful candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of piping design principles, industry codes, and standards. This includes a deep understanding of ASME, API, ANSI, and other relevant project specifications, alongside proven proficiency in reviewing complex technical documentation, calculations, and vendor submissions.
