The Role of Lifting Engineer

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a Lifting Engineer for a full-time position in Al Jubail. This role involves developing and overseeing lifting operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in the execution of complex and critical lifts. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed lifting plans for various equipment, including cranes, hoists, winches, and specialized lifting gear.
• Select appropriate lifting equipment such as slings, shackles, spreader beams, and cranes, considering load specifications, geometry, and environmental factors.
• Coordinate and manage heavy equipment operations performed by contractors.
• Supervise rigging crews during complex or critical lifting operations.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings specific to lifting activities.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure that all personnel possess the necessary skills, training, resources, equipment, and tools to conduct routine maintenance activities safely and effectively.
• Adhere to contract terms and conditions regarding safety protocols and operational standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant lifting engineering role.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive lifting plans.
• Strong understanding of lifting equipment selection and application.
• Proven experience in overseeing rigging crews and managing contractor heavy equipment.
• Commitment to proactive safety practices and behaviors.
