QC Inspector Mechanical Project

About the Role

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a QC Inspector Mechanical Project to join their team in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves performing inspection and testing of mechanical equipment installation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on mechanical equipment installation works, including pumps, vessels, packages, and structural skids.
• Verify equipment installation, alignment, and grouting against approved drawings and vendor specifications.
• Witness mechanical running tests, alignment checks, and equipment box-up activities as per the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Verify materials and equipment against material certificates, vendor data, and specifications.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
• Maintain comprehensive inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify the calibration status of all measuring and test equipment used on site.
• Support the generation of punch lists and verify the closure of mechanical works.
• Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and mechanical equipment standards.
• Support the preparation of quality documentation for mechanical handover dossiers.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical equipment installation and quality control processes.

Performance Evaluation

Performance in this role will be evaluated based on several key indicators:

• Accuracy and completeness of inspections.
• Timely identification and reporting of non-conformances.
• First-time inspection pass rate on assigned work fronts.
• Adherence to inspection schedules and hold points.
• Quality of inspection documentation.
