Evostel, formerly AQESA, is a key part of the Ali Zaid Al Quraishi & Brothers Company (AZAQ Group), a closed joint stock company with a diverse investment portfolio. With over 60 years of operation in the GCC region and strong international partnerships, the AZAQ Group is proud of its Saudi heritage. We are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our team in Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, for a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of experience.

Role Purpose and Impact

As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Sales team to develop technical, architectural, and engineering deliverables that drive profitable sales. Your primary responsibility will be to serve customers by identifying their specific needs and engineering suitable adaptations of products, equipment, and services to ensure high customer satisfaction. Success in this role will be measured by new customer acquisition rates, renewal rates, up-selling, cross-selling, and your overall contribution to the sales team's objectives.

Sales and Business Development Responsibilities

  • Support the entire sales cycle, from initial customer engagement through to project award.
  • Identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Develop new opportunities within assigned accounts and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Assist with RFP/RFQ/RFI responses and proposal preparation.
  • Gather intelligence on market trends and competitor activities.

Technical and Procurement Support

  • Review customer specifications, drawings, and bid documents thoroughly.
  • Design and recommend comprehensive Electrical and Automation solutions.
  • Prepare both technical and commercial quotations.
  • Conduct site visits and perform technical assessments as required.
  • Provide technical clarifications to customers and suppliers throughout the bidding process.
  • Prepare technical submittals, documentation, and final project dossiers.
  • Obtain quotations from suppliers and evaluate their technical compliance.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and technical specifications.
  • Issue purchase orders and monitor supplier commitments.

Order Management and Reporting

  • Review customer purchase orders for technical and commercial accuracy.
  • Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, finance, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Support order execution until customer acceptance and project completion.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and sales records.
  • Monitor the status of open orders and deliveries.
  • Track customer receivables in coordination with the finance department.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies and ISO procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
  • 2-5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • CRM Certification (Preferred).

Essential Knowledge and Core Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of the Saudi Electrical & Automation market.
  • Proficiency in Power Distribution Systems.
  • Expertise in Low & Medium Voltage Switchgear.
  • Understanding of Industrial Automation Systems.
  • Strong background in Sales and Business Development.
  • Ability to prepare Techno-commercial proposals.
  • Demonstrated Customer Focus and Results Orientation.
  • Strong Problem Solving skills and Initiative.
  • Solid Business Acumen and Leadership capabilities.
  • Effective Time Management and Decision Making abilities.
