The Role of Fire & Safety Officer

Almarai is seeking a dedicated Fire & Safety Officer to join its team in Al-Kharj. This full-time role involves assisting the Fire Prevention Manager in mitigating or eliminating the risk of loss due to fire or smoke damage to Almarai's assets. These assets include, but are not limited to, personnel, buildings, plant and equipment, products, raw materials, and information retrieval systems (both physical and electronic).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections across all workplaces to identify unsafe plant, working conditions, and practices.
• Ensure the security and loss prevention of plant facilities, equipment, machinery, raw/finished goods, components, and other company assets are maintained in a secure condition.
• Establish and implement fixed and mobile security surveillance systems and procedures.
• Closely monitor all designated areas to capture and document events.
• Safeguard, patrol, and monitor against theft, pilferage, sabotage, or vandalism within and outside the CPP plant and complex.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized security certification body.
• A minimum of 5 years of general experience in security within an industrial plant environment.
• At least 3 years of experience in a multi-cultural workforce, specifically handling fire detection and suppression equipment.
• NEBOSH IGC certification is required.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in security fixed and mobile surveillance techniques.
• Strong incident investigation and interrogation skills and techniques.
• Solid understanding of information technology and information security principles.
