The Role of Accounts Assistant

The Accounts Assistant supports the revenue and finance functions by processing accounting information accurately and in a timely manner. This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, Eastern region, and requires 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Receipt cash and debtor collections by referencing the cash book and debtors ledger to ensure accurate reflection of receivables in financial statements.
• Prepare and process payment vouchers by checking supporting documents, bills, making cheque and cash payments, coding vouchers with cost center and account codes, and entering them into the ERP system.
• Apply creditor settlements in the payables ledger by selecting dues as per references from leisure supplier statements to accurately reflect payables in financial statements.
• Check all daily sales reports from all locations for completeness and accuracy regarding applicable commission rates, taxes, fares, and rebates.
• Carry out corrections (re-invoicing) for invoices issued on a cash basis instead of credit invoices (corporates) to ensure accurate recording of debtors as per finance department requirements.
• Supervise daily banking to ensure proper internal control, clear customer advances, and carry out receipting to ensure debtors are accurately reflected.
• Submit UCCF to airlines that accept UCCF - Airline Accepted Card.
• Assist in checking refund calculations and preparing credit notes to ensure BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan by IATA) payable accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Assist in processing corporate invoicing by sorting and arranging supporting documents as per specific corporate requirements.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by management as per operational requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role.
• Ability to process accounting information accurately and efficiently.
• Familiarity with financial policies and procedures.
