The Chief Financial Officer Role

Synapse Funding is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This is a full-time, 100% remote position, with the successful candidate reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CFO will be instrumental in guiding the company’s financial strategy and overseeing critical financial operations to ensure long-term financial success.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for leading and managing the company's financial functions, which include:

  • Developing and executing financial planning and analysis.
  • Overseeing budgeting processes and financial forecasting.
  • Managing cash flow and optimizing financial resources.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Implementing and monitoring risk management strategies.
  • Supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for this role must possess over 10 years of relevant experience in financial leadership. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to manage complex financial strategies and controls within a dynamic environment. This role requires a professional who can contribute significantly to the company's strategic direction and financial stability.

Work Environment and Travel

While this is a 100% remote position, it requires occasional international travel, approximately once per month, to locations such as the United Kingdom, United States, or Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, based on business requirements. All business travel expenses, including flights, will be fully covered by Synapse Funding. The successful candidate will also complete a structured two-week onboarding and training program, which includes obtaining a company-provided training certification.
