The Role: Construction Lead

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Lead to join our team in Al Khobar. This full-time role involves leading and coordinating construction activities throughout project execution. The primary objective is to ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with established quality standards. The Construction Lead will collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Engineering, Procurement, HSE, and Quality teams to support construction planning, contractor management, field execution, and site coordination, ultimately contributing to the achievement of project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion a strong safety culture and support all project health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ensure Construction Work Packages (CWPs) are developed, reviewed, and executed in alignment with project requirements.
  • Coordinate construction activities with engineering, procurement, planning, and commissioning teams for efficient project execution.
  • Support the development and implementation of construction execution strategies, schedules, and work plans.
  • Monitor construction progress and proactively identify and resolve field issues, risks, and constraints.
  • Ensure corporate policies, project procedures, and Saudi Arabian regulatory requirements are implemented and maintained.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications to identify constructability concerns and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support the preparation and review of construction estimates, budgets, forecasts, and schedules.
  • Assist in obtaining required permits, approvals, and site access requirements before construction activities commence.
  • Coordinate contractor and subcontractor activities to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Prepare and contribute to construction progress reporting, performance metrics, and project status updates.
  • Support workforce planning and resource allocation to meet project schedules and productivity targets.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to construction supervisors and field personnel.
  • Ensure effective communication of construction risks, concerns, and progress to project leadership and site management.
  • Support modularization, prefabrication, mechanical completion, and project handover activities.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Construction Execution Plan.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of construction experience, including leadership roles on large industrial, mining, infrastructure, or EPC/EPCM projects.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, field execution, and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of EPCM project delivery environments.
  • Experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is preferred.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project reporting tools.

Work Location and Schedule

This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The standard working hours are Sunday to Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
