About the Role

Kempinski Hotels is seeking a Laundry Attendant to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time position requires 0-1 years of experience and is responsible for overseeing the efficient and economical handling of all guest and in-house laundry and dry cleaning needs.

Core Responsibilities

The Laundry Attendant will operate various laundry machinery, including washers, dryers, and ironers. This involves loading articles, ensuring the correct use of cleaning agents and detergents, and sorting dried items by type, such as separating white and colored fabrics. Responsibilities also include folding, hanging, and storing linen and terry in designated areas, and meticulously sorting and folding all items to meet quality standards. Maintaining a daily production report and submitting it to the supervisor at the end of each day is a key duty.

Operational Duties and Maintenance

Maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of equipment is crucial. This includes cleaning the lint trap compartment of the dryer machine before operation and as needed, and ensuring all assigned machinery and equipment are kept clean at all times. Any unusual equipment functions must be reported to the supervisor immediately. The attendant is also responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the entire laundry area.

Quality Control and Safety Adherence

The role involves sorting torn and stained articles for reporting purposes. A strict adherence to the Rules & Regulations outlined in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policies on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety is mandatory. Ensuring that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately is a critical aspect of this position.

Professional Conduct and Additional Duties

Employees are expected to report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times. The Laundry Attendant may be assigned any other duties by management. It is understood that additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the business and hotel needs.
