This full-time role for a Lead Electrical Engineer is based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, requiring over 10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering team, allocating activities based on project priorities and competence.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and support to electrical team members.
• Oversee the development of electrical designs for buildings and infrastructure, including medium and low-voltage power distribution, substations, emergency power systems, lighting, and earthing systems.
• Ensure the preparation and independent technical review of electrical calculations such as load schedules, transformer/generator/UPS sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit, and protection coordination.
• Lead the preparation and review of design basis reports, technical specifications, electrical single-line diagrams, equipment schedules, layouts, and tender documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with Saudi Building Code, Saudi Electricity Company requirements, and applicable international standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC/NFPA 70, BS/BS EN, NEMA, ISO).
• Lead technical coordination with Saudi Electricity Company and other utility providers, managing connection requirements, load applications, and technical comments.
• Coordinate electrical requirements with other disciplines including architecture, structural, civil, mechanical, HVAC, public health, fire & life safety, telecom, security, and infrastructure.
• Support BIM requirements, coordinate with BIM Managers, ensure electrical models comply with LOD/LOI, and participate in clash-detection reviews.
• Perform technical reviews of electrical designs, ensure appropriate checking and approval, identify and mitigate design risks, and maintain compliance with Assystem's Quality Management System.
• Represent the electrical discipline in client meetings, present design concepts, respond to technical comments, and coordinate with client technical teams.
• Provide tender and construction support, including responding to bidder queries, reviewing technical submissions, assisting with tender evaluations, and supporting site issue resolution.
• Identify opportunities for optimizing electrical systems, evaluating alternative solutions, promoting energy-efficient designs, and supporting sustainability objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing electrical engineering teams and projects.
• Proficiency in electrical design management for buildings and infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering calculations and software methodologies.
• Expertise in Saudi regulatory and authority compliance, including Saudi Building Code, Saudi Electricity Company standards, and relevant international standards.
• Experience in coordinating with utility providers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with BIM and digital design coordination.
• Ability to perform technical assurance and quality reviews.
• Strong client and stakeholder interface skills.
