Manager Procurement

About the Role

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a Manager, Procurement to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time position involves leading all procurement activities, managing critical supplier relationships, and ensuring the implementation of efficient and strategic procurement processes within a stringent regulatory framework.

Procurement Leadership and Strategy

The Manager, Procurement will play a central role in driving value for money across all goods, services, and works procured for the business. This includes developing and reviewing procurement processes and procedures, ensuring they meet all legal, technical, and commercial requirements while aligning with the company's strategic objectives. The role requires a proactive approach to coordinating procurement activities and providing effective support to business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers for goods, services, and supplies.
• Manage purchases that support both customer-related business processes and internal company use.
• Address defects and delivery problems with suppliers, including negotiating refunds when necessary.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering departments to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies.
• Lead the Procurement team to foster a more strategic approach to procurement.
• Ensure procurement processes are efficient and effective, adhering to all legal, technical, and commercial factors within the regulatory framework.
• Coordinate all procurement activities to ensure effective support is consistently provided to the business.
• Review and develop Procurement processes and procedures, ensuring proposed changes are properly reviewed by relevant stakeholders, communicated, and effectively implemented.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop appropriate contracting strategies for various types of work, ensuring business protection.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of a relevant degree.
• A minimum of 9 years of experience in procurement.
