Mathematics Teacher

About the Role

مدارس المجموعة العالمية (ISG) is seeking a Mathematics Teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive mathematics teaching across KS3, IGCSE, and A-Level. This full-time position is based in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia, specifically in Al Khobar and Dhahran. The role focuses on developing students' conceptual understanding, fluency, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills, while contributing to the ISG Graduate Profile through classroom practice, pastoral care, and participation in school life.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and document a coherent mathematics curriculum from KS3 through IGCSE to A-Level, ensuring consistent implementation and progression.
• Apply consistent assessment, moderation, recording, and reporting practices, using evidence to identify learning gaps and monitor progress.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations, meeting syllabus and assessment deadlines.
• Deliver inclusive and appropriately challenging teaching that meets diverse learning needs and develops mathematical understanding, reasoning, problem-solving, and communication.
• Utilize evidence-informed teaching strategies, purposeful practice, mathematical representations, and digital tools to check understanding and build confidence.
• Fulfill form tutor responsibilities, supporting student wellbeing, attendance, and academic progress, and communicating effectively with families.
• Collaborate in departmental planning, meetings, moderation, and professional learning, and contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.
• Maintain welcoming, organized classrooms and care for departmental resources.
• Adhere to school health and safety, safeguarding, and child protection procedures, reporting concerns promptly and completing required training.
• Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality, follow school policies, and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Knowledge

• A university degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject is required; a master's degree in mathematics or education is preferred.
• A recognized teaching qualification (*, PGCE, QTS, or BEd) from a nationally accredited institution.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum design, assessment, and effective mathematics teaching across KS3, IGCSE, and A-Level/IB.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and student wellbeing in a school environment.
• Knowledge of the British curriculum and experience teaching across different school phases is preferred.

Experience and Skills

• A minimum of two full school years of successful Mathematics teaching experience is essential. Experience teaching KS3, IGCSE, and A-Level Mathematics, ideally within a British curriculum school, is preferred.
• Ability to plan inclusive learning for students with varied needs and use assessment evidence to improve learning and student outcomes is essential. Experience with assessment moderation, coaching, or curriculum development is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and to lead an after-school activity is essential. Experience using Google Education tools, form tutoring, or pastoral care is preferred.

• Police clearance demonstrating suitability to work with children in a school environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
