QC Welding Inspector

About the Role

Astron Group is seeking an experienced QC Welding Inspector for a contract position in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This role involves overseeing welding inspection and quality control activities on project sites, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The QC Welding Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all welding works adhere to approved project specifications, quality requirements, and applicable Saudi Aramco standards. This involves a comprehensive approach to inspection, documentation, and coordination with various project teams to maintain high-quality welding operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of welding activities, including weld fit-up, joint preparation, welding workmanship, and completed welds.
• Verify compliance with approved welding procedures, engineering drawings, project specifications, and quality requirements.
• Review all welding-related inspection records, documentation, and test reports.
• Coordinate effectively with QA/QC teams, welding personnel, NDT teams, contractors, and client representatives.
• Identify welding defects, deviations, and non-conformities, and provide support for the implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports, checklists, weld records, and comprehensive quality documentation.
• Ensure that all inspection activities comply with project quality and safety requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in welding inspection and quality control.
• At least 2 years of experience specifically on Saudi Aramco projects.
• Must be Saudi Aramco approved.
• Must have successfully passed the CBT (Computer Based Test).
• Strong knowledge of welding inspection and quality control procedures.

Work Environment

This is a contract position based in Al Khobar, within the Eastern Region. The role requires on-site presence to conduct inspections and coordinate with various project stakeholders.
