About the Role

وورلي بارسونز is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to provide specialized engineering services on large or mega projects. This full-time position is based in Al Khobar and involves technical support and supervision within the instrumentation and controls engineering team for both وورلي بارسونز and its clients.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver comprehensive instrumentation and controls engineering services. This includes offering technical support and supervision to the engineering team, ensuring the accurate implementation of designs, and resolving complex engineering issues. The role is critical in supporting clients through project lifecycles, from initial design to operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide instrumentation and controls engineering services on large to mega projects, offering technical support and supervision to the engineering team.
• Coordinate with project discipline and lead engineers to ensure correct implementation of design for the engineering specialty and oversee the work of engineers within that specialty.
• Prepare and review engineering studies, design drawings, documents, and material and equipment specifications.
• Resolve specialty-related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.
• Provide procurement support, including RFQ, TBE, and vendor document reviews.
• Involve in construction support, addressing technical queries, conducting field verifications, and managing LSTK/LTA contractors.

Qualifications and Experience

• A recognized and relevant engineering degree.
• Experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries, recognized as a specialist in Instrumentation & Control Systems engineering on large to mega projects.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering practices, economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
• Knowledge and experience with instrumentation & control systems including process instrumentation, RTU, SCADA, Fire & Gas, Hydraulic ESD Systems & Valves.
• Hands-on experience in design calculations and system studies.
• Advanced knowledge of International and Saudi Aramco Standards.
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering; management, project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent are desirable.
• Extensive technical and practical experience in instrumentation & controls engineering in the same or similar industry, including experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

Skills and Competencies

• Participation in HAZOP, PHA, HIPS, SIS, SIL, Value engineering, Constructability, Model Review, and Lesson learned workshops.
• Excellent technical and practical engineering skills with the ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work.
• Excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of instrumentation & controls engineering and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
• Excellent knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.
• Competent use of relevant software, including MS Office Suite and instrumentation & controls engineering specific software.
