About the Senior Supply Chain Role
Wood is seeking a Senior Supply Chain professional to join our team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading and managing all assigned supply chain activities, ensuring successful delivery from strategy through close-out for major procurement and subcontract packages. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to reporting personnel and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with project plans, budgets, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of all assigned supply chain activities.
- Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, from strategy through close-out, for major procurement and subcontract packages.
- Provide guidance, direction, and support to reporting personnel in their specific responsibilities.
- Advise relevant stakeholders on Wood's and suppliers' specific contractual obligations.
- Ensure all supply chain activities align with project execution plans, schedules, contracting strategies, approved budgets, and project procedures.
- Assist in developing and communicating supply chain processes and procedures.
- Update the project/procurement status report (PSR) in line with client requirements and lead times, reporting any delays.
- Attend PSR meetings with clients, engineering, and project management to maintain pre-order deliverable dates.
- Establish priorities, assign workloads, and review tasks for direct reports.
- Utilize Wood's Approved Supplier Register (ASR) and project/client-approved registers for supplier evaluation, audit, and selection.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and ongoing management, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal requirements, maintaining auditable actions.
- Ensure direct reports understand their roles, processes, and procedures, providing necessary guidance.
- Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety leadership.
- Adhere to Wood's vision, values, behaviors, and Financial Management Framework.
- Assist in applying robust performance management and development plans for direct reports.
- Capture internal and external in-year savings targets as per the business plan.
- Assist in implementing global, regional, and country initiatives as per business plans.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (ISCED Level 6).
- CIPS qualified or industry equivalent certification.
- Demonstrated record of skills training appropriate for the job-specific role.
- Minimum of 7 years of supply chain experience, demonstrating tangible results.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Detailed knowledge of suppliers, commercial evaluations, negotiations, and terms and conditions of purchase/contract.
- Proficiency with subcontract agreements and framework agreements.
- Familiarity with industry forms of subcontract.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Understanding of client contract requirements.
- Strong grasp of supply chain principles and techniques.
- Expertise in commercial evaluations, negotiations, and terms and condition qualification.
- Proven ability in supplier relationship management.
