About Abdul Latif Jameel and the Toyota Technician Role

Abdul Latif Jameel is a diversified business with a significant presence across the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENAT) region, representing some of the world’s leading brands. With over 75 years of automotive expertise, the company operates an extensive vehicle distribution network. We are currently seeking a Toyota Technician to join our full-time team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Purpose of the Role

The Toyota Technician is responsible for performing mechanical repair services and related tasks within the service center. The primary objective is to achieve targets in customer satisfaction and gross service sales by adhering to company mission, vision, values, and standard operating procedures. This position directly impacts sold working hours and overall customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical repairs and related services accurately and efficiently, ensuring work is completed right the first time within promised delivery times and estimated costs.
  • Conduct preliminary vehicle inspections and evaluations under Chief Technician supervision to assess damage and repair scope.
  • Ensure the quality of work meets TMC standards, utilizing correct tools and adhering to the 5S concept for workplace organization.
  • Participate in resolving complex technical problems with Team Leader assistance, ensuring appropriate repairs are executed.
  • Execute after-sales responsibilities, including vehicle repairs and periodic maintenance, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a guest-centric mindset to ensure high customer satisfaction in all after-sales activities.
  • Coordinate with the Job Controller for accurate data entry, recording repairs, and updating vehicle delivery status for productivity analysis.
  • Receive and apply technical information, service bulletins, and updates from Team Leaders to enhance skills and support smooth after-sales operations.
  • Support center after-sales marketing campaigns, promote Kaizen activities, and contribute to business strategies to achieve set targets.
  • Ensure proper and safe use of all service facilities, tools, and equipment, upholding company policies related to safety, welfare, integrity, and brand image.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Toyota Technician or in a similar mechanical repair role.
  • Possession of Toyota Technician / G4 Special Certifications is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to service.
  • Adherence to Service Operation compliance policies.
  • Familiarity with Mechanical Kodawari principles.
