Mehad is seeking a dedicated and experienced Legal Counsel to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This is a full-time position focused on providing comprehensive legal support and ensuring compliance across all company operations.

The Role of Legal Counsel

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of the company's activities, with a particular focus on real estate and commercial law. This role involves managing contracts, handling disputes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic legal advice to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and prepare all contracts and agreements, ensuring legal compliance for operational activities.
• Oversee project, contractor, and supplier contracts, and legally review company policies and procedures.
• Represent the company in legal cases and disputes, communicating and negotiating with external parties.
• Manage disputes with tenants and partners, aiming for amicable resolutions before litigation and following up on judicial cases.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations, ensuring company compliance with all real estate laws and preparing legal compliance reports.
• Follow up on necessary licenses and permits, ensuring adherence to government agency requirements.
• Provide legal advice to senior management, assessing legal risks for new projects and offering recommendations on investment and business decisions.
• Draft and review commercial and real estate contracts, manage the contract database, and monitor expiry and renewal dates.
• Protect the company's intellectual property, including registering trademarks and patents, and monitoring infringements.
• Prepare internal employee contracts, oversee administrative and legal records, and interact with governmental and administrative bodies.
• Assess the legal feasibility of new projects, identify potential legal risks, and provide recommendations for risk reduction.
• Train employees on legal requirements and obligations, and conduct workshops on legal compliance.
• Identify company legal risks, develop mitigation strategies, and prepare legal emergency plans.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in Law.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in real estate legal consulting.
• Active lawyer's license from the Bar Association.
• Deep knowledge of Saudi real estate laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of commercial law and contracts.
• Proficiency in English.
