Financial Controller

About the Role

Antal International is seeking a Financial Controller for a full-time position in Al Qasim, Saudi Arabia. This role is with a reputed producer of Dates in Saudi Arabia. The Financial Controller will be responsible for leading and overseeing the company's financial control, accounting, reporting, budgeting, treasury, cash-flow management, and financial compliance activities. The position aims to provide accurate and timely financial information to management, strengthen financial controls, safeguard company assets, and support profitable and sustainable growth across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting, including review of general ledger, journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, fixed assets, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, prepare rolling forecasts, and monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, investigating significant variances.
• Monitor and analyze costs across farming, harvesting, processing, packing, storage, logistics, and other operational activities, establishing cost-control mechanisms.
• Oversee cash-flow planning, forecasting, and monitoring to ensure adequate liquidity, including managing accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, and supplier payments.
• Design, implement, monitor, and continuously improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting, tax, statutory, and company requirements.
• Oversee financial controls relating to inventory (raw materials, agricultural inputs, harvested dates, packaging materials, finished goods) and fixed assets, including valuation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Provide management with accurate financial dashboards, KPIs, variance analysis, and periodic financial reports, supporting strategic planning and business-performance reviews.
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance and accounting team, establishing clear individual and team KPIs, and ensuring appropriate training and development.
• Coordinate closely with General Management, Sales, Production, Agriculture, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, HR, and Logistics to integrate financial information into operational and commercial decisions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 20 years of relevant experience in financial control and accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting standards.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from SAR 30,000 to SAR 35,000 per month, plus benefits.
