About the Role
Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Nurse 2 to provide direct patient care within the assigned nursing unit in Al Qatif. This full-time position requires 0-1 years of experience and focuses on implementing nursing processes under moderate supervision to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety.
Core Responsibilities
The Emergency Nurse 2 is responsible for delivering efficient and effective nursing care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Key duties include contributing to strategic initiatives for improving nursing practices, participating in the development of protocols to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency, and fostering high staff engagement and patient experience. The role also emphasizes achieving and sustaining high-quality care and patient safety, supporting the empowerment of nurses through the JHAH nursing Professional Practice Model, and providing various assigned nursing care services, including patient management.
Patient Care and Clinical Practice
- Utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care from admission through discharge, specific to the patient's age.
- Providing nursing care and patient/family education consistent with the plan of care, respecting patient privacy, dignity, personal preference, and culture.
- Responding promptly and effectively to emergency and life-saving situations by utilizing clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices.
- Performing a wide range of nursing procedures in the assigned Emergency facility with attention to accuracy, patient safety, and comfort.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff.
Collaboration and Development
- Collaborating with physicians and clinicians to support smooth operations within the unit.
- Monitoring patient progress and reporting concerns to senior staff.
- Precepting new hires and trainees during their probation training period and participating in recommendations regarding their progress and training needs.
Professional Advancement
This role requires the achievement and/or maintenance of the mandated set of activities for level 2, which includes a minimum total of 15 points in at least three categories within each 12-month cycle, as outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program.
Work Environment and Location
This is a full-time position located in Al Qatif. The role operates within the Emergency department, requiring a proactive approach to patient care and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment.
