Divisional Health Safety & Security Manager

About the Role

Almarai is seeking an experienced occupational health and safety leader to manage the Health, Safety & Security function across its poultry farming operations. This full-time position is based in the Hail Region, specifically covering sites in Hail and Ash Shamli. The role involves leading a team of HSS professionals across multiple facilities and acting as the authority on safe operating standards within a demanding operational environment. The focus is approximately 90% occupational health and safety and 10% security.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Health, Safety & Security Management System across the division, ensuring compliance with company policy and KSA legal requirements.
• Manage the divisional risk assessment process to identify, rank, and eliminate risks to personnel and operations.
• Develop and execute the divisional audit plan, conduct audits and assessments, and provide coaching to line managers on effective self-auditing.
• Lead incident and accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation to prevent recurrence.
• Direct the divisional HSS training function and ensure competency across the workforce.
• Record, monitor, and report divisional HSS performance through accurate and timely statistical reporting to divisional and Group stakeholders.
• Oversee fire prevention and protection standards across sites, including detection and suppression systems, inspection regimes, and maintenance.
• Develop, test, and maintain emergency response and crisis management arrangements across all locations.
• Provide advice on health, safety, and security aspects for capital projects, new construction, and contractor activities.
• Inspect accommodation and welfare facilities during routine site visits.
• Collaborate with the Farming Operations team on the interface between health and safety and biosecurity.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in occupational health and safety, with a proven track record at a senior or managerial level.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a team of HSE professionals.
• Experience holding health and safety accountability across multiple operating sites simultaneously.
• Proven ability to influence and maintain a technical line with senior operational management.
• Demonstrated experience in managing emergencies, crisis situations, and site evacuations.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required.
