About the Application Engineer Role

VEOLIA is seeking an Application Engineer to join its team in Dammam. This full-time position is an opportunity to contribute to the company's mission of ecological transformation by providing comprehensive water treatment solutions. As a Resourcer, you will play a part in innovating key areas such as sustainable development and resource recovery, offering water-related solutions for diverse applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports and treatment proposals.
• Master water analysis tests, providing input during initial surveys, commissioning, and ongoing customer service in compliance with the Application Quality Plan.
• Provide services and assist customers with problem-solving support for their products, applications, and solutions.
• Deliver on-site field service and provide assistance over the phone or in person.
• Conduct site surveys and product/application/system audits.
• Discuss and advise clients on sampling results, establish and meet customer needs by adjusting treatment programs, ensure satisfactory plant performance, and advise on potential upgrades and improvements.
• Manage chemical preparation and dosing at sites.
• Supervise chemical cleaning and disinfecting operations, conduct on-site chemical inventory, ensure clients submit necessary Purchase Orders, and manage prompt deliveries.
• Ensure standard equipment and reagents for laboratory and field analysis are properly maintained, prepare site/field analysis reports, and maintain meticulous records of all tests.
• Perform other work-related duties as directed by the Chemical Business Manager – Western Province or their designee.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience.

QHSE and Conduct Commitments

Candidates are expected to adhere to VEOLIA's QHSE policies and ISO Procedures, always follow safety rules, and coach colleagues accordingly. This includes complying with road traffic rules while driving. Employees must be responsible towards VEOLIA’s specific sustainable development commitments and stay informed of safety information shared by the HSE Team. Site visits require prior notification to the safety team for induction and preparation of necessary permits and PPE. Office safety, including maintaining a tidy workspace and reporting electrical issues, is also expected. Employees are encouraged to report any stress, fatigue, harassment, or bullying to HR/HSE. Compliance with the VEOLIA Code of Conduct, including ethics and legislation against corruption and influence peddling, is mandatory.
