Attendant Laundry

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Attendant Laundry to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on the efficient operation of laundry machinery and maintaining high standards of linen cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding necessary chemicals and cleaning lint filters.
• Identify stained or damaged items and determine the appropriate action, such as stain treatment, rewashing, or discarding.
• Inspect the cleanliness of items removed from washers, dryers, or dry cleaning machines.
• Place cleaned items into designated clean linen carts.
• Program dryer time and temperature according to fabric types to ensure proper care.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer and dry cleaning machine filters after each load.
• Fold clean items to the designated size, either manually or using a folding machine.
• Maintain accurate records of washed and ironed items.

Operational Duties and Compliance

• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional at all times.
• Maintain the privacy of company proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Support co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect to foster a collaborative team environment.
• Meet quality assurance expectations and standards for all tasks performed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 25 pounds (** kg) without assistance.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or the entire work shift.
• Visual inspection of tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Ability to navigate over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs, and ascend/descend stairs and/or service ramps.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: No high school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate is required.
• Related Work Experience: No related work experience is required.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: None required.
