About Hill International and the Role

Hill International, Inc. is seeking a dedicated BIM Coordinator to join its team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position is central to managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes throughout the post-contract phase of various projects. The role requires a professional with a strong understanding of BIM methodologies and their practical application in project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Post-Contract BIM Management Plan / BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Review and approve the Post-Contract BIM Execution Plan for all project-appointed parties within its scope.
• Create, maintain, and manage a single point central database that hosts all models and their content under the direct control of the BIM Project Manager.
• Manage and implement interface management between project assets.
• Set up the Common Data Environment (CDE) for related projects as per Employer's Information Requirements (EIR), providing necessary training to consultants and contractors in its use.
• Lead or attend BIM kick-off meetings with consultants and contractors.

BIM Model Management and Quality Assurance

• Receive and manage the construction phase information provided by the contractor’s BIM models.
• Enforce the reliability of BIM Model information to ensure it is an accurate representation of as-built construction.
• Regularly audit, integrate, and validate information to ensure the robustness of the BIM model.
• Manage the quality and quantity of model information.
• Provide clash detection services.
• Maintain a database of all BIM elements, standards, families, and 2D / 3D content.
• Ensure the Level of Information Need (LOIN) delivered in the models aligns with the deliverables requirements of the relevant project stage.

Coordination and Reporting

• Manage and monitor Consultant and Contractor BIM reports.
• Report to the client on an ongoing basis regarding the status of BIM processes on projects through an integrated dashboard.
• Maintain BIM-related risks and issues in the overall Project Risk Register and develop their mitigation strategies.
• Maintain a federated model for the respective scope, containing the latest model versions of all projects.
• Record lessons learned and share them with relevant parties.
• Review models with the Project team leaders and engineers to highlight any design issues.
• Coordinate the submission and exchange of Models.
• Coordinate with the regional office for technical support required to ensure the correctness and completeness of information production.

Required Experience

Candidates for this BIM Coordinator position should possess 5-10 years of experience in BIM coordination or a closely related field within the construction or engineering industry.
