Container Inspector

About the Role

Gulftainer is seeking a Container Inspector to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves inspecting containers according to industry standards and customer criteria, preparing repair estimates, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect containers in accordance with IICL or customer-specific inspection and repair criteria to determine serviceability and identify damage.
• Prepare repair estimates for identified container damage.
• Coordinate material requirements and replenishment for repairs.
• Maintain accurate records using SAP applications.
• Handle monthly billing and invoicing processes.
• Ensure effective communication with customers and internal departments regarding inspection and repair status.
• Assist in the preparation of Equipment Interchange Receipts (EIR).
• Ensure inspections are conducted according to established standards and completed in a timely manner.
• Update EIRs into the SAP Fiori system.
• Perform other duties as required to support operations.

Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Compliance

• Strictly adhere to the Company’s QHSE policies, procedures, and applicable local regulations to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
• Follow safety guidelines diligently while conducting inspections.
• Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for inspection tasks.
• Promptly report any potential violations of the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in container inspection or a related field.
• Familiarity with IICL or customer-specific inspection and repair criteria.
• Proficiency in using SAP applications for record-keeping and data entry.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and internal departments.
• Understanding of QHSE policies and safety procedures.
