About Napco National and the Role

Napco National is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its team in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for an individual with 0-1 years of experience who is eager to contribute to the company's financial operations through detailed cost analysis and reporting. The role plays a crucial part in monitoring expenditures, optimizing costs, and supporting strategic financial decisions.

Core Cost Accounting Responsibilities

  • Report and analyze operational metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services to determine cost effects.
  • Analyze actual production costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual costs.
  • Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
  • Prepare estimates of new and proposed product or service costs.
  • Recommend cost efficiencies in new product layouts.
  • Apportion costs between units of production and management.
  • Consolidate manufacturing costs for payroll and distribution of inventory accounts.
  • Determine per-unit cost using established cost accounting methods.
  • Prepare costing sheets (landed cost) for Foreign Purchase Orders.
  • Perform monthly closing activities related to cost accounting, including cost statements and analysis.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries as required.

Financial Analysis and Strategic Support

  • Review costs and take corrective actions to ensure profitability.
  • Analyze overall plant efficiency, effectiveness, and utilization.
  • Develop monthly financial and operational reports for executive leadership.
  • Provide management with insights on pricing and profitability factors.
  • Analyze financial results to support strategic decision-making.
  • Perform provision and analysis for quarantine items (inventory and capex).

Inventory and Project Management

  • Manage insurance files (PAR) and related monthly declarations.
  • Monitor inventory transactions and reconcile accounts with the general ledger.
  • Lead and manage inventory review processes.
  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects effectively.
  • Develop and implement project metrics and measurement systems.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Cost Accountant position should possess 0-1 years of relevant professional experience. This role is suitable for individuals at the entry to early career stage who are keen to develop their expertise in cost accounting within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Location and Employment Type
