Customs Broker

About the Role

Logitera is seeking a Customs Broker to manage and execute customs clearance activities for various shipments in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time position involves ensuring compliance with Saudi customs laws and regulations for import, export, transit, and re-export operations. The role requires coordination with multiple authorities to facilitate timely shipment release and maintain operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and coordinate customs clearance procedures for import, export, transit, and re-export shipments.
• Follow up on customs declarations from registration through final release.
• Monitor customs notifications, requests, observations, inspections, examinations, and approvals.
• Coordinate with customs authorities to resolve clearance issues and expedite shipment release.
• Ensure all customs requirements are completed before arranging shipment delivery.
• Coordinate customs inspection and physical examination requirements, including arranging and following up on shipment availability.
• Attend or coordinate inspection procedures when required and resolve any observations or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities regarding additional inspections or approvals.
• Obtain and confirm shipment release before coordinating delivery with the transportation team.
• Ensure full compliance with Saudi customs laws, regulations, procedures, and company policies.
• Stay informed about changes and updates to customs requirements and procedures.
• Operate strictly within the scope of the customer’s customs authorization and company-approved procedures.
• Maintain high standards of professional integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.

Qualifications and Experience

• Knowledge of Fasah and other Saudi customs-related electronic platforms is preferred.

Reporting and Compliance

The Customs Broker is responsible for coordinating with ZATCA, SFDA, customs ports, shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, and other relevant government authorities. This role ensures the timely release of shipments while maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance throughout the customs clearance process.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern Region, focusing on efficient customs operations within the logistics sector.
