About the Field Engineer Role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Engineer to join their team in Dammam. This full-time position is part of the Emerging Talent Program, designed for recent graduates with 0-1 years of experience. The program offers a structured 36-month development path focused on helping clients improve energy location and production efficiency.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Field Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical interface between Baker Hughes' on-site teams and clients. Your role involves ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and startup of equipment, while delivering services that meet or exceed customer expectations. You will contribute to creating reliable, high-quality support for clients through innovative solutions.

  • Coordinate with crew members for the deployment of tools and services, acting as a liaison with customers and shore-based Operations Managers.
  • Participate in resolving complex technical challenges through hands-on work at rig sites.
  • Manage the preparation, documentation, and receipt of inbound and outbound equipment and products, including those for well sites.
  • Provide support for tenders, including data analysis and cost estimations, and perform invoicing activities.
  • Engage in job shadowing to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any field), Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geosciences, or a related discipline, obtained within the last 36 months.
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of * on a scale (or equivalent).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with strong communication skills.
  • Legal entitlement to work in the country of application without requiring company sponsorship or time restrictions.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for teamwork and the ability to guide others.
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and numerical skills, along with data analysis and project management abilities.
