Encryption Operations & Support Engineer

About the Role

Cloud Consultancy - CCDS is seeking an Encryption Operations & Support Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role focuses on providing day-to-day operational and technical support for enterprise encryption and security infrastructure, ensuring its health, stability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily health checks and operational monitoring of encryption and security platforms.
• Handle service requests and incidents related to encryption, Key Management Systems (KMS), Hardware Security Modules (HSM), and associated infrastructure.
• Execute first-level troubleshooting and coordinate the escalation of complex technical issues to relevant teams.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for security systems.
• Coordinate patching, upgrades, fixes, and vendor maintenance activities to ensure system integrity.
• Monitor software licenses, subscriptions, assets, and support contracts to maintain compliance.
• Maintain accurate configuration records, inventories, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.
• Support technical testing, validation, and system changes in a controlled environment.
• Participate in backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Support knowledge-transfer sessions and maintain up-to-date operational procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal technical teams to resolve incidents and service issues efficiently.
• Prepare operational and maintenance reports for management review.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and provide on-call support when required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in IT operations, security operations, technical support, or cybersecurity infrastructure.
• Demonstrated knowledge of incident management, service management, troubleshooting methodologies, documentation practices, and change management processes.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Dammam.

Required Certifications

Candidates must hold one of the following certifications:

• ITIL 4 Foundation
• CompTIA Security+

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications

• Experience supporting enterprise security technologies.
• Thales CipherTrust / Luna administration training.
• Vendor-specific encryption/HSM administration certification.
• Additional ITSM, security operations, or infrastructure certifications.
• Relevant Microsoft, Linux, or enterprise infrastructure certifications.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, requiring regular onsite presence to support critical encryption and security operations.
