Transguard Workforce Solutions, a leading provider of unique and innovative HR solutions with a decade of regional experience, is currently recruiting for a client. We are seeking an Engineering Trainee as part of a Saudization initiative. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia.

Role Purpose and Scope

This product-focused position performs established technical tasks at the sub-system and/or component level for current and future products within a given business unit or corporate area. The role involves work across many steps in the product life cycle. Due to its product-centered nature, this position often serves as a central point of coordination and decision-making between product line engineers, customer teams, systems engineers, purchasing, suppliers, and manufacturing.

Core Responsibilities

• Investigate product problems, understand causal mechanisms, recommend appropriate action, own problem resolution, and document results with guidance from experienced team members.
• Work within business processes such as Product Preceding Technology (PPT), Value Package Introduction (VPI), or Current Product Support (CPS).
• Execute technical processes including Engineering Standard Work (ESW), iDFMEA, and Failure Incident Review Group (FIRG).
• Utilize tools such as 7-step problem solving, design review checklists, and other specialized tools to support processes and enable high-quality decision making.
• Obtain input from stakeholders, including technical managers, project leaders, other product and manufacturing engineers, and supplier partners, to deliver information and recommendations that lead to quality product decisions.
• Apply academic knowledge and existing experience to take action and make decisions that progress projects forward without sacrificing project quality expectations.
• Own problem resolution for moderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems, or services, demonstrating a greater degree of technical complexity and ambiguity over entry-level roles, and with greater accountability to the project team.
• Provide independent execution of established work processes and systems while developing technology or product knowledge, and engage with the improvement of systems and processes.
• Coordinate and direct work among technicians and/or temporary student employees, with minimal direct management of people.
• Contribute effectively toward team goals, exhibit influence within a work group, and continuously develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of professional experience.
• Ability to apply academic knowledge to practical engineering tasks.
• Developing understanding of product life cycle processes and technical problem-solving methodologies.
• Capacity to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem investigation and resolution, coupled with an ability to integrate input from various technical and operational teams. This role requires developing proficiency in critical competency areas, contributing to team goals, and influencing within a work group to drive quality product decisions and project progression.
