About the Role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves executing installation, testing, and commissioning activities for High Voltage (HV) products at customer sites and Hitachi Energy projects. The role is crucial for ensuring the successful deployment and operation of advanced HV equipment, including Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), Generator Circuit Breakers (GCB), Live Tank Breakers (LTB), Dead Tank Breakers (DTB), and related systems. Key Responsibilities

Participate in site activities, including the installation, testing, and commissioning of Hitachi HV GIS, GCB, LTB, DTB, and other assigned equipment.
Coordinate with the tools management department to ensure proper handling, maintenance, and utilization of HV tools and Hitachi Energy HV test equipment for site activities related to HV products installation, testing, commissioning, protection, and control.
Perform GIS installation and compartment assembly, conduct minor fabrications as needed, and troubleshoot and rectify defects in HV products at customer sites, providing recommendations for repair plans.
Support the work activities of the PGHV Service team at customer sites or Hitachi Energy workplaces.
Learn and proficiently operate test equipment for HV product testing and maintenance, and master the use of tools for HV products service jobs.
Collaborate with Project Management teams to ensure full compliance with project requirements and adherence to site regulations.
Lead contractors or subcontractors during job execution, coordinating with customers and back-office support for necessary resources.
Obtain Provisional Acceptance Certificates (PAC) or signed timesheets from customers upon completion of assigned tasks to facilitate invoicing.
Prepare and submit site reports, activity plans, and resource requirement assessments to the Project Manager, line manager, or supervisor.
Adhere strictly to company rules and regulations, maintaining professional conduct, and promptly report any safety or integrity incidents.
Implement company values in daily activities and tasks.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly timesheets and expense reports in accordance with company guidelines and timelines.
Obtain travel authorization before commencing any site travel or deployment.
Ensure compliance with all applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements

A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
2-5 years of relevant experience in the field.
Previous experience with high voltage products, electrical equipment, switchgears, HV switchgear protection and control, and monitoring and measuring devices is required.
Experience working within industries or utilities companies is beneficial.
Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic languages is essential.
