About the Factory Manager Role

Sesco Steel is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Factory Manager to oversee and optimize all manufacturing and production activities at its steel fabrication facility. This role is based in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The Factory Manager will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations, driving operational excellence, achieving productivity targets, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction across the entire production lifecycle, from planning and fabrication to quality control and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all factory operations, including fabrication, welding, assembly, surface preparation, painting, and dispatch activities.
• Ensure production targets are achieved in accordance with project schedules and customer requirements.
• Develop and implement production plans to maximize efficiency and resource utilization.
• Monitor manufacturing performance and implement corrective actions to address bottlenecks and optimize workflow.
• Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of fabricated steel structures and components.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing and production operations.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role such as Factory Manager, Production Manager, Plant Manager, or Operations Manager.
• Mandatory and proven experience within steel fabrication, structural steel, heavy steel manufacturing, or industrial fabrication facilities.

This role is crucial for ensuring project profitability while adhering to client specifications and tender requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documents to define project scope and estimation requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labor, manufacturing, transportation, installation, and overheads.
• Analyze project risks and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and integrate them into project estimates.
• Develop detailed technical and commercial proposals aligned with client requirements and company standards.
• Formulate pricing strategies to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
• Submit quotations and tender documents punctually, meeting all deadlines.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in estimation, costing, or proposal preparation, preferably within the fencing, steel fabrication, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
• Demonstrated experience with chain-link fencing, barbed wire, security fencing, or similar related products is highly preferred.
• A strong understanding of tendering processes and commercial bid preparation.
