About the Role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is essential for the successful installation, testing, and commissioning of High Voltage (HV) products at customer sites and within Hitachi Energy projects. The role contributes to maintaining the reliability and performance of critical power grid technologies, supporting a sustainable energy future. Key Responsibilities

• Participate in site activities, including the installation, testing, and commissioning of Hitachi HV GIS, GCB, LTB, DTB, and other assigned equipment.
• Coordinate with the tools management department to ensure proper care, arrangement, and utilization of HV tools and test equipment for site activities related to HV products installation, testing, commissioning, protection, and control.
• Complete GIS installation and compartment assembly, perform minor fabrications as needed, troubleshoot and rectify defects in HV products at customer sites, and advise on repair plans for factory or workshop intervention.
• Support the work activities of PGHV Service at customer sites or Hitachi Energy workplaces.
• Learn and proficiently operate test equipment for HV product testing and maintenance, and master the use of tools for HV products service jobs.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team on various projects, ensuring full compliance with project requirements and adherence to site regulations.
• Lead contractors or subcontractors during job execution, coordinating with the customer and back-office support for necessary resources.
• Obtain Provisional Acceptance Certificates (PAC) or have timesheets signed by the customer upon task completion for invoicing.
• Prepare and submit site reports, activity plans, and resource requirements to management.
• Adhere to company rules and regulations, maintain good behavior, and promptly report any safety or integrity incidents.
• Implement company values in daily activities.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly timesheets and expense reports in a timely manner.
• Prepare travel authorizations prior to commencing any travel.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
• Uphold company values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for personal actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Previous experience of 3-4 years in high voltage products, electrical equipment, switchgears, HV switchgear protection and control, and monitoring and measuring devices, within industries or utility companies.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic languages is required.
