About the Field Services Engineer Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Services Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time position focuses on providing on-site service and maintenance for sold or installed products, contributing to their upkeep, repair, and overhaul. The role involves planning and executing activities within established operational disciplines, requiring a degree of judgment guided by functional standard practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The Field Services Engineer will be responsible for a range of on-site activities, including:

• Performing all on-site runtime extensions, repairs, and inspection-related service activities at customer locations.
• Executing specialized tasks such as on-site machining, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), blading, winding, critical welding, and generator diagnostics.
• Deepening technical knowledge within a specific discipline, applying prior experience and acquired expertise to implement policies and strategies.
• Utilizing an understanding of key business drivers to inform and execute work, ensuring team contributions align with broader departmental objectives.
• Applying judgment to propose solutions outside of standard parameters, with guidance, and using experience to resolve tasks.
• Leveraging technical skills and analytical thinking to solve problems, drawing information from multiple internal sources to make decisions.
• Providing informal guidance to new team members, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

Experience and Qualifications

This role requires advanced experience. The level of knowledge expected is comparable to that obtained through a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma coupled with relevant professional experience. The required experience level is between 5 to 10 years.
