GE Vernova is seeking a Field Services Engineer to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves performing essential service and maintenance activities directly on customer sites and properties. The role is critical for maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing existing products.

Role Overview and Scope

The Field Services Engineer is responsible for managing all resources and logistics necessary to execute service and maintenance activities at customer locations. These activities encompass all types of maintenance services, including preventive and corrective actions, managing maintenance facilities, and providing field technical support. This position influences departmental operations and holds accountability for planning and/or execution. The role operates with a degree of autonomy, focusing on executing activities within an operational discipline governed by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required, generally within established guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all on-site life extension, repair, and inspection-related service activities at customer sites, including on-site machining, non-destructive testing, blades, windings, critical welds, and generator diagnostics.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, building on previous experience and acquired technical expertise to implement policy and strategy.
• Possess a deep understanding of key operational drivers and utilize this understanding to accomplish assigned work.
• Understand how individual and team work integrates with other teams and contributes to the field.
• Exercise judgment and propose different solutions outside defined parameters, within established guidance.
• Solve simple tasks by relying on previous experience and professional training.
• Utilize technical skills and an analytical mindset for effective problem-solving.
• Consult multiple internal sources outside the immediate team for decision-making.
• Provide informal guidance to new team members, functioning either as an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or as a People Leader capable of hiring and developing talent.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or a baccalaureate with experience in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in a relevant function.
