General Manager Commercial

About the Role

Abdul Latif Jameel Enterprises is seeking a General Manager Commercial to lead and manage the commercial function within the Dammam region. This full-time role encompasses sales, marketing, and solution design, with a focus on driving sustainable revenue growth and expanding the customer base.

Role Purpose and Objectives

The primary purpose of this role is to achieve regional commercial targets and act as the main point of contact for all current and potential customers in the assigned region. The General Manager Commercial will be responsible for building and mentoring a high-performing commercial team, ensuring regional profitability, and enhancing brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive commercial and sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Drive new business acquisition and identify market opportunities within the assigned region.
• Build and maintain a robust prospect database, systematically identifying and qualifying sales opportunities.
• Conduct field sales activities and regular customer visits to generate new business and expand market presence.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for major and strategic customers within the region.
• Achieve and exceed regional sales targets and commercial profitability goals.
• Monitor sales pipeline and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to management.
• Establish and maintain key account relationships, managing account profitability and expansion.
• Develop and implement regional marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and market positioning.
• Drive service awareness and thought leadership within target customer segments.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends, adjusting positioning and messaging accordingly.
• Build market visibility through targeted marketing initiatives and partnerships.

Collaboration and Solution Design

• Work closely with operations, customer service, and delivery teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Collaborate with product and innovation teams on solution development and new service launches.
• Partner with finance and business planning on forecasts, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
• Participate in corporate strategy initiatives and cross-regional commercial initiatives.
• Develop value propositions that differentiate ALJ services in the market.
• Develop service propositions and offerings that address customer needs and market gaps.
• Work with operations and technical teams to design customized logistics solutions for customer requirements.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable and operationally feasible service offerings.
• Identify opportunities for service bundles and value-added solutions to increase customer value.
• Conduct solution design workshops with customers to understand needs and develop tailored proposals.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
• Experience in supporting organizational change initiatives and strategic transformation efforts.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with peer leaders across the organization and regions.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, within Abdul Latif Jameel Enterprises. The role requires active engagement with various internal teams and external customers to achieve commercial objectives.
